Measurement guide

Are you looking for the perfect rug for your space? The size of the room shouldn't always dictate the size of the rug. When chosen correctly, it can bring disparate elements together and bring harmony to the room. Rugs are also perfect for achieving balance in asymmetrical spaces and for defining areas within open-plan spaces.

Factors to take into account

Carpets

Plain rugs tend to have a more classic style and blend more discreetly into their surroundings. On the other hand, rugs with modern designs can give the impression of a larger space and add a touch of character to the room.

Position

It's important to measure the floor area where the rug will be placed, as well as the furniture that will be in that space, to ensure you select the most appropriate option.

Placement

To maximize your space and ensure maximum comfort, be sure to leave space around the rug so it can "breathe" alongside other elements, such as the edges of your bed, for example.

INTERIORS

Halls

In both large and small seating areas, rugs are very beneficial, as they help delineate different spaces and provide greater comfort to the overall environment. We suggest opting for large rugs that complement the furniture; if the rug doesn't cover at least the length of the main sofa, it can feel out of proportion to the space.

INTERIORS

Dining room

The rug should be the same size as the table, preferably slightly larger, to prevent the back legs of chairs from sticking out of the rug when someone is sitting. Remember that each person takes up approximately 75 cm of space. Therefore, the rug should be about 1 meter longer than the table on each side.

INTERIORS

Kitchen

Long rugs, also called runners, are an excellent option for kitchens. They can help divide areas, such as the food preparation area and the dining area, or mark the transition between different spaces. In areas where more debris or water may fall, we recommend opting for rugs made of PET. This more durable fiber better resists moisture and water.

INTERIORS

Bedroom

A rug is ideal for bedrooms, where extra comfort is desired. It can be placed at the foot of the bed for warmth when entering and exiting, or on either side in smaller sizes, even as a decorative accent.

INTERIORS

Bathroom

Although not as common, a rug can be a great addition to bathrooms. It provides comfort in specific areas, helps separate the shower area from the rest of the space, or marks the entrance to another room.

OUTDOORS

Terrace

Outdoor rugs are ideal for terraces and outdoor spaces where you want to provide the same comfort as indoor spaces. They're perfect for dividing areas and adding a touch of personality. They're also durable and easy to maintain.
